The property market in Spain keeps an excellent progression
According with the latest report provided by the INE (Statistics National Institute), the situation of the real estate sector in Spain continues improving. In fact, in September were sold more than 34,900 homes, which represents a yearly increasing of 13’2%.
More than 80% of the properties sold in Spain during the month of September were resale properties. This data shows the good fit of the resale market in comparison with the new-build segment. In fact, the yearly increasing considering the resale properties is 16’5%.
A disaggregated view over the information provided by INE shows that the three autonomous regions were a higher number of properties were sold are Andalusia (6,907 properties), Catalonia (5,991 properties) and Madrid Region (5,522).
The main conclusion that we can reach seems to be clear: the internal demand still buying the exceed of properties created during the last decade, which status of resale is synonymous of competitive price and, in many cases, extraordinary financial conditions as a big part of the stock belongs currently to financial institutions.
