Real estate investment in Spain could increase by 4% in further years
According the latest estimation from the Savings Banks Foundation Panel (Funcas), the investment in properties could increase at least 3% during this and next year.
While the Government places the investment improvement at 2.6%, many believe that the official forecast is wrong.
The experts predict a rising of 2.9%, although the figure reaches 3% and even exceeds this barrier for some business giants, consulting firms and national and foreign agencies.
Spanish financial organizations like Bankia or Banco Santander, for example, gross fixed capital formation under construction will rebound 3% in 2017. Meanwhile Caixabank estimates a rise of 3.1%. Funcas is somewhat more optimistic and estimates that it could reach 3.8%, while cement production company Cemex forecasts a rebound of up to 4.4%. Even the European Commission agrees these positive estimations.
Looking ahead to the next financial year, the forecasts are even better and it is expected a general increase of 3.1%, although several experts put the improvement above 4%.
