The sale of housing in Spain has grown by 10.3% compared with September 2015
Despite the increase in the number of sales, this fact is balanced with a considerable reduction in average prices. In fact, the square meter of the homes bought in September is €1,236, which represents a year-on-year fall of 3.5%. This reduction of the square meter price of housing is due both to the drop in the price per square meter of single-family homes (-7% year-on-year) and to the fall in flat-type housing price (-2.2% year-on-year).
By type of property, flats and single-family houses are the protagonists. The sale of single-family homes in Spain showed a growth of 11.1%. Likewise, the sale of flats showed a year-on-year increase of 10.1%, being the resale flats the most demanded in this category of homes.
This data provided by the Consejo General del Notariado shows that the good trend in the real estate sector in Spain is crystalizing little by little in excellent figures.
